CTC#247 Punching Pine trees all over the place!

Hello and welcome to the blog hop this week CASEing a PUNCH project.
It's so nice to be able to participate again, squeezing some craft time into our busy lives can be a real challenge, so I've really enjoyed this opportunity.

Who doesn't love a punch- they are fast, versatile, flexible, portable, durable and affordable. I'm in love with the Pine Tree Punch and have been preparing projects for next week's fundraiser as the punch is part of the kit.
Today I am CASEing one of the tags on page 12 using the Brightly Gleaming DSP and very little stamping.

If you look closely at the tag on page 12 you can see the stitching- instantly knew I had to try this!

The pine tree shape is not symmetrical which was a surprise. It's a great feature though because when you place 2 trees back to front you get a little more texture than if they were identical.
My tags are 3 punched trees randomly selected and stitched to a vanilla strip- I do 3 at a time on a 12" strip 2" wide then trim them down to 4" before punching the tag top. I added a second plain tag behind to be able to write the message.
A little piece of twine and a copper star and you're done.
Definite Wow factor and super easy.

I have used a mix of star embellishments for the tree tops. Of course I love the new copper stars but I still have quite a few enamel shapes which are a bit smaller but still lovely.
I think I've found this year's tag!

Of course I could have gone crazy with all the gorgeous papers but I only had time for one more - this is using some scraps from pieces of the Feels Like Frost DSP.

I loved the effect and added one to a Card too.

I also CASED myself from a project I made a few years ago and I have another home decor project using the tags but I'll share that after my workshop next weekend.

Don't forget we love to see what you create too using the catalogue as inspiration for your project - There's lots of samples of cards using punched shapes. Which one inspires you? Take a photo and share it with us on our Facebook Page.
Before me this week is Shannon  and Next on the blog hop this week is Julia and her gorgeous 3D card - also using the tree punch. Love all the ideas that I can share for inspiration in this group.

I hope you have a creative week and remember,
"don't just post online,
 post something pretty!"

cheers, Liz

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are.
