Kelly's Social Stamping - "Change"- the ephemeral theme

Welcome back for another round of Kelly's Social Stamping- a group hop by a bunch of stampers gathered together by everyone's friend Kelly. It's a privilege to know Kelly, she is such a gorgeous soul gathering friends from near and far to share inspiration, friendship and creativity- and a sense of connection. I have thoroughly enjoyed this Covid inspired connection.
Our theme for this week is change- and what a vast topic that is- we have all been surrounded by change for months now and it is not an easy challenge. But as the posters keep reminding us "We are all in this together".

One of the biggest places for change has been the workplace, and a lovely friend of mine has been nursing for many years and finished work this week. She has cared for countless patients with her gentle manner and nurtured many nurses and doctors along the way. She has been the breadwinner for her family after emigrating from the UK and work simply won't be the same without her. So I have created a mini album for the all the staff to sign as part of her retirement gift.  I used lots of different sentiments to say thankyou. I hope she realises how special she is.

I have made these in the past using the Memories and More cards but this one is a larger version so I could use some of the large size journalling cards as well. You can find links to instructions for previous albums here.( Also on one of Kelly's bloghops in the past!)    I will come back and write up the dimensions tomorrow. I
Again I have not added too many embellishments as it needs to be fairly flat for people to write in it. Once we have added a photo or 2 and everyone has signed the card ( and I've made a box for it!) I will do any additional decorative stamping to fill in any gaps and bling it up if necessary.

You can get a better idea with a view from the top. I have used all new incolours but based the pages on Seaspray which I had more of and will be easier to write on.

There have been changes at home, changes at work, changes in travel, changes in when we can visit, changes to class structure, changes in the home, changes in the garden....... I hope you and your family have adapted.  Thanks for going on this journey with me. Take care.

Next this week is Michelle. Be sure and hop all the way around for some great ideas.

I hope you have a creative week and remember,
"don't just post online,
 post something pretty!"
cheers, Liz

CTC#86 Everyday is a good day to send a card

Welcome to the CASEing the Catty Sunday night blogshop where we use a section of the Catalogue to inspire this weeks projects. Designers can take a layout, a colour combination, or any element as the starting point to create something new. We invite you to tour around the hop and to join in -after all the Catalogue has so many beautiful samples to inspire us all. If you get lost you'll find the full crew here . You may have arrived from Simone , so welcome. And this week we are really excited to welcome 3 new designers to the team, Krissy, Deb and Kelly  please do leave them a comment and welcome. This week we are using the samples from the Everyday Occasions section (which is a huge section) from pages 66-91. Because this is such a big section we will revisit it in a few weeks.  I have chosen the card on page 71 because I have always been attracted to grids.  I have used the gorgeous new By the Shore Designer Series paper, it has such a lovely fres...

New In colour 2025-2027 cards and the FABULOUS Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape.

Don't you love it when a single product creates enough elements to decorate a bunch of cards at one time? The Extraordinary Flora Washi tape is one of those products. I created these for my upcoming Catalogue Launch. I put the Washi onto Basic Beige to cut these flowers and love how it coordinates with the Basic Beige card base. To create these cards I trimmed 2.5cm from the front edge and adhered a 3.5cm strip of DSP to the inside of the card to give an added layer. These were easy to put together. Darling Duckling Secret Sea Strawberry Slush Timid Tiger Cloud Clover June 3 - 30 Stampin Up has an amazing offer where you can get 50% off any second product from a suite. So for example if you were to purchase the Extraordinary Flora Die you would be able to buy the tape at 50% off. Please reach out if you want more information on this great deal. You can see all the available suites in my online store. I am loving all the new colours.  I hope you have a creative week and remember,...

Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. Picture credit - https://leahhopephotography.client-gallery.com/.../print... I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...
