I was shown this fold in a tutorial by Bronwen Stewart recently and I loved it as a fabulous way to showcase DSP. It's super easy. Bronwen's measurements were imperial so I have altered it slightly to suit our Australian sizes, and changed the scoring just a little.
This version is made using the beautiful Bloom DSP which was free during Sale A Bration with any purchase of $90 product.
1.This is the card closed |
You can see the navy pattern from the inside visible on the front where a narrow section is folded to the front and adhered down before adding sentiment and flowers.
2. when you open the first flap there is plenty of space for more sentiments / stamping / decoration |
3. When the second flap is opened it reveals the inside panel for your message |
When you have scored your DSP decide on your orientation-( depends on the print and direction of the design for best effect), fold the right panel into the middle, fold the left panel into the middle and fold the narrow strip to face the front on the left panel. Adhere this to the front of the card ready for decoration with a sentiment etc
Adhere the centre third panel of the DSP to the coloured cardstock base, this adds stability and defines the size of the card. ( Navy in this sample)
Layer the Inside Mat#2 (white - pale blue in the above sample) on the coloured cardstock Inside Mat#1 (same colour as base) and adhere these assembled mats to the inside on the centre panel.
Decorate with sentiments and embellishments as desired.
So you will get 2 cards from one sheet of 12 x 12 and 1 sheet of coloured A4 cardstock.
Here's another version also in landscape. But how different it looks and feels made with different DSP.
I have a few more samples to show you yet- over the next few days.
I do hope you'll try this fun fold.
I hope you have a creative week and remember,
"don't just post online,
post something pretty!"
cheers, Liz
