CI#128 Ranunculus Romance for an Anniversary Card

This beautiful stamp set has been begging for some attention and I had a lot of fun playing with some of the elements to put together this card for a 1st Wedding Anniversary for a beautiful young couple.
I started with a watercolour wash on Shimmery White cardstock using So Saffron and Tahitian Tide, so the blending gave a soft green in the middle, then ran the whole page through the Quatrefoil embossing folder.
I cut the two Ranunculus from Blushing Bride and from Petal Pink and spritzed them first with water to soften and shape them. Then I spritzed them again with some alcohol, blushing bride ink and some retired Shimmer Paint ( please bring that back Stampin' Up!).
I also added some Very Vanilla wood rings elements, and some of the branches from the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder and dies.  It's hard to find an anniversary sentiment but the Ringed with Nature set certainly has one which was perfect!

Our beautiful inspiration picture this week is delightful. picture credit here This challenge runs for 3 weeks so we hope you can join us.

I wish the shimmer showed up in the photos, it's a lovely soft sparkle.
I stitched the two flowers together with a crystal button and some gold cord. The Stampin' Up! gold cord ties so beautifully. I added a few other sparkly elements from my stash - these are really match the "something old, something new..." wedding motif.

And of course the envelope needs some stamping too - it matches the inside of the card

I do hope you'll join us and create a card using the challenge colours.

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are.
