We hope that you enjoy following and joining in with us as much as we love designing for you. Here's to another 200 challenges! We welcome Catherine Proctor as our Guest Designer. CI#199 "A Little Cheer" for a simple Christmas

I've been away for my son's wedding and missed the launch of this latest Colour INKspiration challenge, but I had created quite a collection of cards for a Christmas Card Buffet so I switched out the colours to create this simple card using Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler and Pecan Pie. I do love to participate even if I'm late. YOu still have a chance to play along too. We love to see what you create with the colours. I love the mini punches and have used them quite a lot. I also love sparkle on my cards so there is a ton of Wink of Stella on the tree and the Stocking although it doesn't really show in the photo. The star is Foil from the Earthen Toned Metallic paper and has a gorgeous coppery feel to it. Picture Credit  https://country-style.visitlink.me/oO5GRu And here is the original design using Basic Beige as the base colour - I love the lighter side of the Two Tone Cardstock for this, and the shapes are all punched from Glimmer Paper. So light and fun. Here are som...

CI#198 12 Days of Christmas Advent Crafting Z fold birthday card

Welcome back for the next instalment of Colour INKspiration - a fortnightly event where we create a project using a specified colour palette and share these in a Facebook group. - although this one runs for THREE weeks, so you still have time to share your project using these colours. Members of the design team share their creations and we invite you to also create a project using these colours and share it with us.  This one is #198 and uses Pool Party Coastal Cabana, Real Red and Very Vanilla, it's a great mixture of fresh and new, with Traditional.  Mine is not actually a Christmas card - but I did use the new !2 Days of  Crafting Advent Stampset. IO am itching to play some more with the other lovely treats but I'm not going to get much of a chance - our eldest son has the secnd part of his wedding coming up - The Tea Ceremony - in Hong Kong! But I did want to get something actually photographed and shared for this challenge. I love the stencils from this set, so I had...

GOING BACKWARDS TO GO FORWARDS, CI#187 Welcoming the NEW In Colours 2025-2027

As part of my post renovation TIDY UP, I am finally finishing some old blog posts and sharing them with you -  I am calling it my  "Going Backwards to Go Forwards"  process. I hope you get a little bit of motivation and inspiration from these recent samples which I created and then forgot! I am keen to share them with you so I can start afresh. Way back in MAY 2025, the current batch of IN Colours was released. Colour INKspiration #187 was all about using the new colours. I created this set of cards using Basic Beige as my base and 4 of the colours  Strawberry Slush Secret Sea Cloud Cover Timid Tiger (I still can't get my head around Darling Duckling)! These are all a similar layout and use the fabulous Textured Notes Stampset and Bright Borders Stampset ( which is sadly on the Last Chance list at a reduced price ) nnd the coordinating To the Point Punch. It's nice to create a set that can be given as a gift. I don't believe that they all need to be the same, I ...

Colour INKspiration # 195 Butterflies and a Flap fold card using the Arches Dies

Welcome back for the next instalment of Colour INKspiration - a fortnightly event where we create a project using a specified colour palette and share these in a Facebook group. Members of the design team share their creations and we invite you to also create a project using these colours and share it with us.  This one is #195 and uses only 3 colours- Crushed Curry, Smoky Slate and Black. I'm not a huge fan of Crushed Curry but I enjoyed painting the butterfly with the yellow ink and my Wink of Stella. I did then run it through the 3D Hybrid Embossing Folder and I quite like the sparkle and the detail. I created a card with an Arch Flap for something a little bit different. You can see what I mean as you check out the pictures. It is quite bulky so I used a small velcro dot as a closure which certainly helps. Going Backwards to Go Forwards - Wildflower Birthday Sliding Lock mechanism card

The wonderful pre-printed tags and elements make creating this style of card very easy. I used one of the tags to create the sliding lock mechanism, and another to decorate the inside.  The card closed with the tag slider in place to keep it closed. The inside panel is decorated but is hidden behind the sliding lock when it is closed. Lift the flap and there is more cheer inside- just punch out and stick the elements from the DSP paper pack. The DSP pack is a cracker. You can see more of it here. The measurements and procedure are the same as for the other Sliding Lock stlye cards I have presented on this blog earlier in the year. You c...
