Pretty Perennials #2 same layout different colourways, #simplestamping

Pretty Perennials is such a fabulous set even without the accompanying dies. Here are some more #simplestamping cards we made at class standard card base  10.5 x 29.7, scored at 14.8 mat for stamping      9.5 x 13.5 sentiment strip            5 x 10 sentiment mat          5.5 x 10 Stamp the large flower repeatedly on the first layer starting at the top right corner and working down in a diagonal line to the opposite corner. Re-ink you flower each time. Add the flower centres if you wish. Emboss this piece with a folder of your choice. Stamp the birthday in the background mat and punch that out for layering on top of your ribbon. I love the tone on tone just to add interest to the base panel. This layout also lends itself to so many other stampsets or you could use DSP instead of stamping. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz

CI#93 FEB 10

Hello again, and welcome back to Colour INKspiration. We have a great colour combination this week and I ended up with a few different versions, but I love the simplicity of the stamping using the Pretty Perennials set which will feature in my February class. I did find that it works best to stamp the berries and then add the stems after rather than the other way around. I created a full A4 sheet of stamping with the 3 colours and wasn't sure what to do next but after cleaning up my craft room ( for the new year resolution!) I found a few cards and envelopes which were just begging to be used. I was particularly looking for a design that used only the stampset. I also added in a few bits and pieces that were lying on my desk- the  strip of striped brown DSP and the blue glimmer paper as well as some rustic twine. It really is a bright fresh colour combination, I hope you will play along with the challenge this round. And I would also like to share my first samples. I wanted to show...

GDP #277 a gorgeous colour combination with Pretty Perennials

The Pretty Perennials Stampset is gorgeous to use on its own but the floral dies really do add a little something special. My card this week matches the colour challenge at the Global Design Project. I have stamped directly onto the Oh so Ombre DSP which is a free Sale A Bration item with a qualifying purchase for the rest of this month. I love the tone on tone stamping for added depth. I have gone over the Happy with Wink of Stella but it's not easy to photograph. The teeny heart is a teeny leftover of some retired Blushing Bride Glimmer paper and I have also incorporated other retired embellishments like the library clip and crystal button - I do love to use them up. Pink and florals - a perfect match. Here's what I used. CASEing the Catty #303 the Sale A Bration Catalogue- SIPP using Pretty Perennials stampset

Playing with the fabulous Pretty Perennials set and looking for ways to use it without having the dies or fussy cutting the word Happy- wish there was a die for that! I love SIPP- Stamps, Ink, Paper and Punch. Of course the Catalogues are great places for inspiration and I was instantly captivated by the card using the postage stamp punch. I love to be able to use products I already own to extend the use of new sets.  For this card I punched the shapes first and then stamped the flowers off the edge of each,  but you could easily do it the other way around. I felt the white postage stamps were a bit lost next to each other at first so I punched a few more black postage stamp edges and added them to the left side of each stamp. ( also a great way to use us scrapys) And after I stamped each flower I repeated it on the inside edge to add some fun to the inside. Sweet Strawberry Punch creates beautiful shaped flowers.

It's been a little while since SU had a mini flower punch so I am so pleased to see one incorporated into the Strawberry Builder Punch.  It is a lovely shape and t coordinates with the flower in the Sweet Strawberry stampset but has multiple uses with plain or printed card or paper. Playing with new products is always fun, and I like to try and create some cards a little different from the suite- different colours and papers and uses. I used some of the gorgeous DSP from the Sand and Seas suite and my favourite card base Sahara Sand. I initially stamped the card base and most of the photos are of that version but in the end I decided it was a bit busy so I cut up the first version and remade it with a plain base -as above. The strawberry builder punch has the super cute little flower. The Calyx stamp can be snipped to create 2 sets of 2 leaves as well. You can see how I've done that in the photo below. It is easy to shape your flat punched paper flowers and give them more dimens...
