JAI #201

Hi again, just adding my card for the Just Add Ink challenge#201 - a colour challenge

I love Sahara Sand, and Island Indigo. Pool Party is easy to use but adding Real Red did challenge me.
I have used the retired sets Established Elegance and Vintage Verses. The gorgeous script embossing folder was first inked up with Sahara Sand ink to give the light and dark effect, and the Deco Labels Framelits seemed to fit with the vintage theme. I don't often use the Decorative Edgelits but now that they are out I think I'll play with them some more.
I still have a few of the lovely Pool Party spotty brads, they always add a little something special.
Thanks for looking, Liz

  1. Liz this is a lovely card. I especially love that you inked up your EF to give the light/dark effect - very nice. I too have a few of the spotty brads left and I love them...perhaps that's why I'm hoarding and not using lol. Thanks so much for joining the challenge fun at Just Add Ink this week.

CTC#86 Everyday is a good day to send a card

Welcome to the CASEing the Catty Sunday night blogshop where we use a section of the Catalogue to inspire this weeks projects. Designers can take a layout, a colour combination, or any element as the starting point to create something new. We invite you to tour around the hop and to join in -after all the Catalogue has so many beautiful samples to inspire us all. If you get lost you'll find the full crew here . You may have arrived from Simone , so welcome. And this week we are really excited to welcome 3 new designers to the team, Krissy, Deb and Kelly  please do leave them a comment and welcome. This week we are using the samples from the Everyday Occasions section (which is a huge section) from pages 66-91. New In colour 2025-2027 cards and the FABULOUS Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape.

Don't you love it when a single product creates enough elements to decorate a bunch of cards at one time? The Extraordinary Flora Washi tape is one of those products. I created these for my upcoming Catalogue Launch. I put the Washi onto Basic Beige to cut these flowers and love how it coordinates with the Basic Beige card base. To create these cards I trimmed 2.5cm from the front edge and adhered a 3.5cm strip of DSP to the inside of the card to give an added layer. These were easy to put together. Darling Duckling Secret Sea Strawberry Slush Timid Tiger Cloud Clover June 3 - 30 Stampin Up has an amazing offer where you can get 50% off any second product from a suite. So for example if you were to purchase the Extraordinary Flora Die you would be able to buy the tape at 50% off. Please reach out if you want more information on this great deal. You can see all the available suites in my online store. I am loving all the new colours.  I hope you have a creative week and remember,...

Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. Picture credit - https://leahhopephotography.client-gallery.com/.../print... I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...
