CTC#70 CASEing the Sale -a Bration Sketches

HI again, and welcome back to CTC - can you believe we are up to #70 already?
This week we are using the Sale-a-Bration catalogues again- not too many more weeks and it will be over again for another year, but there is still time to get your favourite set for free with your $90 purchase.

You may have come from Jackie's blog or you maybe starting here. Sit back and enjoy the projects.

I have chosen the sketch on the front page of the supplement for the recent releases - the same sketch as Julia this week, but with quite a different result.


This is the first time I have inked up this lovely set and I really enjoyed the layering. My roses are done in Pink Pirouette as the base, Blushing Bride second, and Rose Red for the top detail, while the leaves are Mint Macaron and Cucumber Crush. I think the collage stamping suits a 90th birthday - what do you think?

And just to decorate the inside, a little touch of collage stamping with some added Timeless Texture.


I wasn't happy with the birthday banner, but a wee wink of Stella fixed that!

    Wow your card has such a different look and feel to the original Elizabeth, it took me a minute to work out which it was!!! I love that the same sketch can give such a different look and feel with different stamps. The catalogues are just so full of inspiration.

    I totally adore your card - it is so beautiful!! I love the addition of the timeless texture too for some wonderful vintage collage stamping!! This is such a gorgeous card and the colours are fabulous!! Thanks for the plug about the box cards too - I've been having fun!!

    Fabulous take on the sketch, Liz! Your layered leaves & blooms are beautiful. I would never have thought cucumber crush would work so beautifully with mint macaron. :)

    The colour combination is beautiful, you have inspired me to get out this stamp set to get inky for the first time, I have forgotten about it as there is so many lovely stamp sets in the occasion catalogue.

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are.
