A Romantic Shaker for JAI#394 - #useitup #1

Just Add Ink this week have the challenge of Just adding Romance.

I have been trying to use up some of the many half packs of product I have accumulated and  the bits and bobs on my desktop. - my personal challenge to #useitup. This includes a few packs of Memories and More cards
Today I have used up one of the cards, some sequins, some gold foil washi and a gold glimmer strip of hearts.
The card is in the gorgeous Mint Macaron (my favourite green - so sad that it's retired) in an ombre style and I just loved the sentiment  - Fall in Love with Moments.  I was not going to be able to easily cover the width of the opening with the card so I opted instead to cut out the circle and adhere that to the card base inside the shaker.

I created this shaker card and used the Amazing You stamp set in the Sale a Bration Catalogue.

The flower was heat embossed in gold on crumb cake and painted with Berry Burst using my blender pen. Since I've already cut my stamp I was easily able to stamp the leaves separately.  A little bit of gold thread and a rhinestone bling and I'm swooning already!

You might be able to see a few of the glimmer hearts in the shaker elements too, and I always add some mini beads for a bit more weight when shaking.

The inside just has a bit of leaf stamping and a strip of gold foil - also from the bits and bobs stash!

I hope you have a creative week and remember,
"don't just post online,
 post something pretty!"
cheers, Liz

CTC#86 Everyday is a good day to send a card

Welcome to the CASEing the Catty Sunday night blogshop where we use a section of the Catalogue to inspire this weeks projects. Designers can take a layout, a colour combination, or any element as the starting point to create something new. We invite you to tour around the hop and to join in -after all the Catalogue has so many beautiful samples to inspire us all. If you get lost you'll find the full crew here . You may have arrived from Simone , so welcome. And this week we are really excited to welcome 3 new designers to the team, Krissy, Deb and Kelly  please do leave them a comment and welcome. This week we are using the samples from the Everyday Occasions section (which is a huge section) from pages 66-91. Because this is such a big section we will revisit it in a few weeks.  I have chosen the card on page 71 because I have always been attracted to grids.  I have used the gorgeous new By the Shore Designer Series paper, it has such a lovely fres...

CTC#48 Who doesn't love new DSP

Welcome back to CASEing the Catty for this round. You may have come from Rachel's beautiful project  or you maybe starting here. There are lots of great posts to visit. This week we are using new Designer Series paper from the Holiday Catalogue - and who doesn't love a pack of new paper? The problem of course is which one to choose.... followed by the problem of actually having to CUT into a pristine pack. ....I know you all know what I mean. I have lots of photos for you today to try and show off some of the designs, but it's not easy to capture and they always look so much better in real life. I have purchased two packs - the Happy Haunting pack on page 47, which I was inspired to get purely from the background piece on the Lighthearted Leaves card on page 44. I don't celebrate Halloween, nor am I usually all that partial to Orange shades, but maybe that's changing! because I really like the designs. The pack has several papers that are specifically...

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are.
