CTC#169 - Sale A Bration Papers are the star

Hello and welcome back to me! I've been away for 2 weeks on holiday and had a great time, but now I'm back and I have to say I did miss my craft desk a little.
This week's card use the fabulous new DSP which is on offer in the second release of Sale A Bration products. It's white and thick and glossy with a foil print and is perfect for colouring. I have used the inspiration pictures from page 3 of the little brochure and coloured two panels of the card.
The first is with Dapper Denim, and some fussy cut elements as well as vellum leaves.

The second uses blushing bride and Flirty Flamingo in an ombre look and the labels panel of woodgrain stamped using the beautiful Heartfelt Blooms. The copper dots in this card really stand out against the pink, and the Celebrate is Sponged also and raised up on a few layers of Early Espresso, coated with Tin- Tip glue for a glossy highlight.

next this week is Mel
and before me is Angela

Don't forget we'd love to see what you create using any of the  same inspiration pages in the
 Sale - a-bration catalogues.

I hope you have a creative week and remember,

"don't just post online,
 post something pretty!"
cheers, Liz

CTC#86 Everyday is a good day to send a card

Welcome to the CASEing the Catty Sunday night blogshop where we use a section of the Catalogue to inspire this weeks projects. Designers can take a layout, a colour combination, or any element as the starting point to create something new. We invite you to tour around the hop and to join in -after all the Catalogue has so many beautiful samples to inspire us all. If you get lost you'll find the full crew here . You may have arrived from Simone , so welcome. And this week we are really excited to welcome 3 new designers to the team, Krissy, Deb and Kelly  please do leave them a comment and welcome. This week we are using the samples from the Everyday Occasions section (which is a huge section) from pages 66-91. Because this is such a big section we will revisit it in a few weeks.  I have chosen the card on page 71 because I have always been attracted to grids.  I have used the gorgeous new By the Shore Designer Series paper, it has such a lovely fres...

CTC#48 Who doesn't love new DSP

Welcome back to CASEing the Catty for this round. You may have come from Rachel's beautiful project  or you maybe starting here. There are lots of great posts to visit. This week we are using new Designer Series paper from the Holiday Catalogue - and who doesn't love a pack of new paper? The problem of course is which one to choose.... followed by the problem of actually having to CUT into a pristine pack. ....I know you all know what I mean. I have lots of photos for you today to try and show off some of the designs, but it's not easy to capture and they always look so much better in real life. I have purchased two packs - the Happy Haunting pack on page 47, which I was inspired to get purely from the background piece on the Lighthearted Leaves card on page 44. I don't celebrate Halloween, nor am I usually all that partial to Orange shades, but maybe that's changing! because I really like the designs. The pack has several papers that are specifically...

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are.
