So here is an alternative to this week's CASEing the Catty project where I used Feathers and Frost and heat embossed the leaves in gold before painting them.

I mentioned that I thought it might be easy to do the watercolour wash first and then stamp the leaves. Well that works well too, and would be quite fast at Christmas. Here is how it looks. I used the same colours- a mix of Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce ink. And I do LOVE the Tranquil Tide glimmer paper, I can see that will get a lot of use for Christmas creations.

It's such a great stamp set, love the font and simple sentiments.
And here's the first version as a comparison - painted the leaves first then filled in some of the background.
