CTC#238- Casing the colour scheme- how different colours can change a look completely.


WELCOME back - it's so good to be here again. I've been away and super busy lately with a 3 day river festival market in Rockhampton last weekend,  with stock for the shop, with teaching classes and with family - none of whom live close by. 
So it's lovely to be back and this week we are taking inspiration from the Garden Lane DSP colour palette- so many greens.
. 
I have a project which I have been working on to teach at Injune in central Qld next month so a few friends had a practice run today. Three ladies created the same basic design but you can see how individual differences are so wonderful, and how different background pieces change the whole look of the project.

The central panel  of 6x6" is watercoloured using only Mossy Meadow, but everyone's turned out different.
The magnolias are created from Whisper White with Daffodil Delight centres.
The individual sticks also shaped how each person's finished up based on where the natural curves of the stick privided the best spot for the flowers.

This is Sharon's centre panel on a green piece of DSP from the Perennial Essence pack of DSP.

But this is how she actually mounted it - the Opal coloured sheet of DSP from the Floral Essence paper - how amazing the change.

And this is Heather's placed on the linen look piece of DSP from the Pressed Petals Suite - I love this look- and I love how everyone's centre watercolour panel are quite different.


and this is it on a different sheet from the Floral Essence pack.

 I did also make a pink version but I'll show you that another time- but how sweet are the magnolias simply stuck onto a branch. Well When I say simple, it isn't hard but ti does take a bit of patience as the glue is drying!!

    Oh Elizabeth, This is magnificent! I love the way you've used the sticks, and I love the springs of paper along with the leaves and flowers. The background choices are simply amazing and glorious. What a beautiful project with stunning results. Thank you so much for sharing!!

GDP #277 a gorgeous colour combination with Pretty Perennials

The Pretty Perennials Stampset is gorgeous to use on its own but the floral dies really do add a little something special. My card this week matches the colour challenge at the Global Design Project. I have stamped directly onto the Oh so Ombre DSP which is a free Sale A Bration item with a qualifying purchase for the rest of this month. I love the tone on tone stamping for added depth. I have gone over the Happy with Wink of Stella but it's not easy to photograph. The teeny heart is a teeny leftover of some retired Blushing Bride Glimmer paper and I have also incorporated other retired embellishments like the library clip and crystal button - I do love to use them up. CTC#48 Who doesn't love new DSP

Welcome back to CASEing the Catty for this round. You may have come from Rachel's beautiful project  or you maybe starting here. There are lots of great posts to visit. This week we are using new Designer Series paper from the Holiday Catalogue - and who doesn't love a pack of new paper? The problem of course is which one to choose.... followed by the problem of actually having to CUT into a pristine pack. ....I know you all know what I mean. I have lots of photos for you today to try and show off some of the designs, but it's not easy to capture and they always look so much better in real life. I have purchased two packs - the Happy Haunting pack on page 47, which I was inspired to get purely from the background piece on the Lighthearted Leaves card on page 44.
