social stamping blog hop with IN Colours and a fun fold

Hello and welcome to the social stamping hop for March.
...Wow How is it March already?

As the year rolls on we are getting closer to the end of the Annual Catalogue , which means the launch of a brand new set of 5 In Colours and the retirement of the 5 listed for June 2019- June 2021. I will be very sad to see Pretty Peacock and Seaside Spray leave us particularly, but at the same time I am intrigued to know what the new ones might be.

I have used Pretty Peacock for this week's card- a fancy fold. This is the card closed

and when you open it - a wiper pops up with a decoration- in this case another butterfly.

Of course there's a little stamping on the reverse, and the envelope.

So we are all creating using In colours and I would like to share a Wiper Card with you. If you follow me you will know I love a fun fold or interactive card. As most card tutorials are for imperial measurements I always try and remake the card using Australian metric measurements and I have done this again today.

You will need

there are plenty of video tutorials for a wiper card and I found Dawn Griffiths the simplest to follow. The trickiest part is adhering the corner of the wiper. Be sure to only adhere it next to the first score line not the second ( I may have had to bin a few versions!)

I also had fun punching out a few smaller butterflies from the DSP. Sadly the paper is no longer available, but you can certainly purchase the gorgeous butterfly stamp and the thinlits.

The Butterfly punch is on the retiring list but is still available while stocks last.

I look forward to seeing what everyone else has created using the In colours, there are so many super talented crafters in this lovely group.I

If you get lost you can link back to Kelly's Main Page with the full list of participants.

Next on the hop this week is Kathryn

I hope you have a creative week and remember,
"don't just post online,
 post something pretty!"
cheers, Liz

With the new catalogue coming soon  Stampin' Up! have to make room for new products so there are some retiring. You'll find them in the link below, but they are only available while stocks last.

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are.
