Showcasing a set of cards using a Sentiment Only Stampset

I love DSP, all the beautiful patterns that are available make it hard to choose where to start when creating cards.  So choose a Sentiment set and let the paper be the hero of the card.

At a recent class all participants received the Sunny Sentiments stamp set and so I created a few sets to display how versatile it can be.

It's a great set because it covers Birthday, Hello, thinking of you, and thankyou . We all love receiving some handmade thoughts in the post and this is a wonderful set to share that joy.

In the class we created a box like this one which holds 4 cards and envelopes and fits perfectly into Stampin' Up!'s cello bags
This set uses the gorgeous In Symmetry paper and I used the Basic Borders edgelits dies to cut a fancy border from the DSP and then added the sentiments, 4 cards, 4 different sentiments. The little flowers are punched using the fabulous strawberry punch.

Here's 2 of the cards with an angled border on the DSP

Here's the box and two cards with layered offset zig zag borders for a bit of fun

I'll have another set to share soon using the brilliant potplants suite, including measurements for the box. You can find that post here.

I hope you have a creative week and remember,
"don't just post online,
 post something pretty!"
cheers, Liz

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are.
