Accordion Fold - let the Paper be the Star of the Show

Stampin Up! produces such beautiful papers it is sometimes hard to cut them up.

But a good design that lets the paper shine is always fun. I created this card last year but didn't get around to sharing here - although I did have a reel on Instagram in March using one of last years Sale-A-Bration papers. So now I have both made and photographed this version.

You can add elements to stand out on the folds, but I think the paper has enough interest to just let it shine - less is more , I think.

This design works really well for full sheets with a design that spreads across the page. The Perennial Lavender has one of those sheets - and you can get two cards like this from each sheet.

Trim your DSP to 14.3cm height x 10 inches long ( sorry I mix my measurements )

Score the DSP at 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 inches. Burnish the folds and glue the 2" panels to the inside of your folded cardbase - that's it.

And this is last years design. I sent this to my Aunt for her birthday which is this week - maybe I'll send her the lavender version for 2024!

During January and February you can earn free products for every $90 purchase during Sale-A-Bration. If you would like to see more please visit my online store

Let me know if you have any questions- I'm always happy to talk stamping!

I hope you have a creative week and remember,
"don't just post online,
 post something pretty!"
cheers, Liz

CTC#86 Everyday is a good day to send a card

New In colour 2025-2027 cards and the FABULOUS Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape.

Don't you love it when a single product creates enough elements to decorate a bunch of cards at one time? The Extraordinary Flora Washi tape is one of those products. I created these for my upcoming Catalogue Launch. I put the Washi onto Basic Beige to cut these flowers and love how it coordinates with the Basic Beige card base. To create these cards I trimmed 2.5cm from the front edge and adhered a 3.5cm strip of DSP to the inside of the card to give an added layer. These were easy to put together. Darling Duckling Secret Sea Strawberry Slush Timid Tiger Cloud Clover June 3 - 30 Stampin Up has an amazing offer where you can get 50% off any second product from a suite. So for example if you were to purchase the Extraordinary Flora Die you would be able to buy the tape at 50% off. Please reach out if you want more information on this great deal. You can see all the available suites in my online store. I am loving all the new colours.  I hope you have a creative week and remember,...

Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. Picture credit - https://leahhopephotography.client-gallery.com/.../print... I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...
