Well I think this may be nearing the end of my stage samples - but I have created quite a few more and will have some to post to my Pinterest board soon. This final set is a great way to showcase the gorgeous DSP. It's a set of 6 notecards using Sahara Sand as the base colour and each of the paper designs and this was the final project I presented at Onstage. One of my favourite things about papercrafting is the willingness of others to share their designs and tutorials and this gorgeous box is CASEd from another designer in the UK but I first saw it when one of my good stamping friends from Central Qld shared it at a team day. (We are different teams but in regional areas sharing and connecting is vital and I love her creative energy- thanks Sharon). I think it showed up well on the big screen too. I have been busy making Christmas Cards and love this beautiful wreath embossing folder. It looks so lovey sponged with White Shimmer Paint. This is a fairly simple attachment of punched embellishments, a loop of the lovely Merry Merlot and Copper ribbon stapled on with some twine strands. I threaded the (retired) silver embellishment through before tying a bow. The wooden word is sponged lightly with the Merry Merlot inkpad. Super quick in the end. This could be my go to card for 2018! I think it also qualifies for JAI#434 if I'm published in time! For the inside I ended up cutting up one of the fabulous foil edged cards after I smudged ink on the reverse. But no matter it hasn't gone to waste. The sentiment is from the retired Musical set from 2107, I still love the simplicity of this message. I'm quite happy with this one. How's your Christmas preparation coming along? Hello again. Still having fun with the Needlepoint Nook suite today. I have a stash of  flowers cut and ready to add to any project. The scrabble letters caught my eye as I was looking for something else so I set myself a little challenge to use them today. The woodgrain tag was part of the same set and the real red ribbon has just been asking to be used. I am in love with the foil edged cards- they make any task just so easy. At this end of the school year there are so many amazing young adults about to embark on their next phase of life. Cards like this can be very helpful to say congratulations. I think it fits for the challenge at Just Add Ink this week. #434 a few little details popped in among the blossoms! Back to work on finishing some Christmas cards but this was fun. I do love 3D projects, especially when the DSP is so lovely, and the Ferrero fold out boxes show off the lovely papers so easily. I first saw this box at Onstage in Sydney this year when a fellow demo had made one for her teammate at our table. Sharing ideas and inspiration is one of the best things about Onstage. Here's my originals: Project Measurements: DSP 4 3/4" x 4 3/4 Punch and Score on all 4 sides at 1 3/8" and 3 3/8" On EACH side cut one slit down to the corner of the square which will form the base of the box, make this slit a small wedge. I have always loved a 3D frame and try to create a sampler each time there is a new catalogue. The Needlepoint Nook suite lent itself to this quite easily. A friend gave me a stash of goodies from a well loved sewing room which included these gorgeous thread wheels and lots of tiny timber spools of cotton, I have had some in a jar as part of my kitchen decor but moved them to this new home. Included in the stash was a beautiful button which inspired the handmade birdsnest in both frames I have made using the Cathedral Window style. There are a few squares using the embroidery panel from the thinlits, some fussy cut floral embroidered flowers, and a few things I love. It is based on the Cathedral Window quilt pattern and the circles of DSP are all Mossy Meadow, punched using a 2" punch, the squares are 1 3/8" and they are all raised on either a single or double layer of dimensionals or thick card. Firstly, just a little sneak peak - I was blown away when I was asked to be a presenter at Onstage and was given the gorgeous Needlepoint Nook suite to present. Here is one of my cards which does meet this week's challenge- it uses Tranquil Tide and Berry Burst and the beautiful Needle and Thread stamp set.
