JAI #230 Just Add DAD and PPA#218

This weekend was Father's Day here in Australia, and Just Add Dad is the challenge for Just Add Ink this week.

This simple banner card was one of the designs I made for Father's Day this year for my stall at  The Handmade Expo Markets. I had forgotten how much I like stitching on cards - the effort of getting the machine out is really worth it!  Sahara Sand and the Champagne Glimmer Paper work well with the Hello Honey. I am also entering this in the Pals Paper Arts Challenge which is a colour challenge this week. There's a tiny bit of blackberry bliss in the fabulous DSP.

My other Father's Day Card is the Tag Card, 
which is slightly more elaborate but definitely worth the effort.

GDP #277 a gorgeous colour combination with Pretty Perennials

The Pretty Perennials Stampset is gorgeous to use on its own but the floral dies really do add a little something special. My card this week matches the colour challenge at the Global Design Project. I have stamped directly onto the Oh so Ombre DSP which is a free Sale A Bration item with a qualifying purchase for the rest of this month. I love the tone on tone stamping for added depth. I have gone over the Happy with Wink of Stella but it's not easy to photograph. The teeny heart is a teeny leftover of some retired Blushing Bride Glimmer paper and I have also incorporated other retired embellishments like the library clip and crystal button - I do love to use them up. Don't you love it when a single product creates enough elements to decorate a bunch of cards at one time? The Extraordinary Flora Washi tape is one of those products.
