CTC#16 using NEW DSP - Irresistibly Yours

The new Catalogue has such lovely products, and I am totally loving the Irresisitbly Yours DSP. - one of the Sale-A-Bration  products free with Purchases over $90. So I have chosen to use it for this weeks CASEing the Catty challenge #16. Bronwyn has such a beautiful card and I only just learned that you can stamp on the DSP before sponging or misting and it gives another layer to the paper. I saw this first by Carolyn Lindenmeyer whose blog is Carolyn's Card Creations. There is a video link which demonstrates this , and I too must thank Linda Heller (When the rubber Hits the Road) for this idea I saw on her blog.

Well of course I couldn't make only one card, but I am entering this first one into the Challenge.
I cut the DSP to 12x24 cm since I am quite fond of square cards. I stamped the Dictionary Stamp as the background, then when I wiped off the Soft Suede Ink it filled in the background colour. To brighten it I then sponged Wisteria Wonder around the edges. The bird Punch is Wisteria Wonder and Early Espresso. I had a small strip of the leaf pattern DSP so I first stamped a leaf image with Pear Pizazz then water coloured over with the residual ink on the stamp to give a soft green backwash. The leaves are pear cardstock with additional ink on them, and the Pear Pizazz Seam binding worked will. The flowers are hand rolled spirals stamped with the dictionary stamp and there are various other little additions from my stash of Stampin Up trinkets - brads, buttons, pins, twine, foil etc. -new and retired! The sentiment is from another sale-a brat ions set- You Brighten My day, and the thankful for you script piece is from Sheltering Tree.  I was really impressed with the versatility of this DSP.

more Stamped DSP:

This time it's the Dictionary stamp on The spotted paper using Tap, Tap,  Tap  (another favourite stamp set)
Ink colours are Coastal Cabana and Smokey Slate with some Basic Grey. Again-  twine, paperclips, hardware, embossed pieces, star punch, silver foil and and silver pen accents. All products are Stampin' Up!

and the third Birthday option:

This time it's the Something Lacy Background stamped in Calypso Coral over the Striped Version of the DSP, layered over Baked Brown Sugar and Night of Navy cardstock
Then it's a scalloped tag punched from some DSP in one of the Banner creation kits, Sahara Sand lace,  White Jute ribbon, Calypso Coral ribbon and buttons and the gorgeous flowers from Pictogram Punches. This one came together quite quickly in the end.

My apologies that my photography is not fabulous, but I prefer to spend my time crafting than battling with the digital things!!!

Thanks for looking, Liz

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz Product List Ornamental Envelopes Bundle [ 155168 ] $83.50 Envelopes  Dies [ 153531 ] $63.00 Shimmery White A4 Car

#Onstage Sydney 2022 Fancy Flora Suite , Display Stamping # 1 beginner, casual, avid samples

I'm so honoured to have been asked to present the premier suite "Fancy Flora" from the new Mini Catalogue - what a treat. ( Available January 5 - May 12023 ). This is one of a series of posts showing some of the projects I created using this suite. It's a long one so grab a cuppa and enjoy my tips and tricks and first projects. Relieved the presentation is over and with my samples on the board! Firstly I had the pleasure of showing the suite- 2 stampsets, 2 sets of dies, some 6x6 DSP, Shimmer Card, Ribbon and Gems. With every new set I allow myself plenty of time to just play with it and explore the possibilities in colour and layout. In doing this I create a series of Mood boards that make it much faster when I come to use the product to quickly identify how many dies in each set, how many stamps and which ones match the dies, and which ribbons and bling I have in my stash- or in the current catalogues that match the colours of the new suite. That way I don't for
