CTC#125 -Creating with my Bigshot

Choosing your favourite Bigshot project from the Occasions Catalogue is a big task- there are just so many amazing thinlits and folders available. But that's the task this week for the CTC Design team so we hope you follow along and also create a project using one of your favourite bigshot tools and share it with us on our Facebook Page.

In the end I have chosen to show you some projects made using the Succulents Bundle (so sad this is retiring)- but also a little SNEAK PEAK of some sentiments coming in a new set -Colorful Seasons.

I created several frames for the Mother's Day markets at the Handmade Expo Markets - including one as a farewell gift for a colleague.  These Frames include lots of bits and pieces from my useful box - so some items are retired- like the Crystal buttons, The resin flowers, some of the rhinestones. But most are new and some are even so new they aren't available yet - like the Sentiments, (From a new set called Colorful Seasons) the Wood Textures DSP and Gold Faceted Gems and the Glitter Enamel Dots.

The first uses DSP from the Serene Scenery pack, and some water colouring around the sentiment on the Border mat.
The Succulents are Macaron Mint sponged with Wisteria Wonder, Garden Green stamped with white, and Wisteria sponged with Wisteria and some white, and the leaves from Rose Garden framelits are cut in Almost Artichoke and Garden Green. There's also some music DSP and some Copper foil that's been embossed and a few old embellishments. See what else you can find!

The second version uses some new gorgeous timber paper and a new sentiment. Mint Macaron succulents which have glitter enamel dots as their centre. The crystal buttons have an old silver Rhinestone in the centre of the button, ad i had a single spray of white flowers left over some some ancient project but they just added a nice lift.

Some of these products are retiring and we are really going to miss them - I am devastated that Mint Macaron will be leaving us.
So if there is something I've used which you think you would like to own don't leave it any longer to order - some products are already sold out. If you click on any of the images in the table below it will take you directly to my online store and you can secure them for your stash of craft necessities!

Thanks so much for looking, I hope you find some time to be creative this week, and enter it into the weekly edition

    1. Go ahead Mel. (and send me a picture!)These are the Ribba Frame from Ikea- 9" square and they are fabulous because they sit flat on a shelf or can be wall hung. There aren't too many decent box frames around but these are good quality, and the cream mat inside is also excellent quality.

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are. #Onstage Sydney 2022 Fancy Flora Suite , Display Stamping # 1 beginner, casual, avid samples

I'm so honoured to have been asked to present the premier suite "Fancy Flora" from the new Mini Catalogue - what a treat. ( Available January 5 - May 12023 ). This is one of a series of posts showing some of the projects I created using this suite. It's a long one so grab a cuppa and enjoy my tips and tricks and first projects. Relieved the presentation is over and with my samples on the board! Firstly I had the pleasure of showing the suite- 2 stampsets, 2 sets of dies, some 6x6 DSP, Shimmer Card, Ribbon and Gems. With every new set I allow myself plenty of time to just play with it and explore the possibilities in colour and layout. In doing this I create a series of Mood boards that make it much faster when I come to use the product to quickly identify how many dies in each set, how many stamps and which ones match the dies, and which ribbons and bling I have in my stash- or in the current catalogues that match the colours of the new suite. That way I don't for
