Lovely Layout # 2 Christmas Cards, perfect for Beautiful Papers

This layout is perfect for quickly creating a stack of cards, which is just what we need at this busy time of year. Let the beauty of the paper do all the heavy lifting for you.

This set uses the beautiful Winter Meadow DSP, and while Christmas in Australia has not an inkling of Winter I just love the colours. The Lost Lagoon cardstock picks up the colours nicely for the sentiment tags.

Liz's  Lovely Layout #2 uses 2 pieces of DSP - one 3 x 3 inches and one 4 x 2 inches.

You can alternate which piece is forward and which is behind depending on the pattern on each piece and which one looks best as the feature.

Add a stamped sentiment and a feature element.

When the card mat is also embossed it adds a nice layer of texture.

I have used the gorgeous Winter Meadow 12 x 12 DSP and cut a stack of pieces then just mixed and matched which was in the foreground and which was in the rear.

The amazing Magical Meadow dies have some stunning detailed elements,
as well as dies that coordinate with stamped images.
Gray Granite coordinates perfectly and is my current favourite neutral base.

These two examples show how the main printed paper looks great as either the square or the strip, and the different way they look with each of the shapes as the front piece.

This is a great design to quickly stamp a stack, I hope you give it a try.

I hope you have a creative week and remember,
"don't just post online,
 post something pretty!"
cheers, Liz

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are.
