CI# 204 Boxed set of "Fragrant Layers" Cards for Gifting

How nice to be back crafting and creating cards to give away. I love to give handmade cards as gifts so that a handwritten note can be an easy task. I'm working on rebuilding my collection of finished sets.
The new Fragrant Layers stamp and die bundle are just gorgeous so these cards came together quite quickly, and I created a box to put them in for easy gift giving.

This week's colour combination is so soft and fresh.

I am also trying very hard to use up some of the kits and sets that I have collected over the years including this set of blank These Memories and More cards and envelopes.
It just happens that the Colours- Soft Sea Foam and Pool Party match the tones of this week's challenge colours.
I've had fun watercolouring the floral spray with both pink tones and layering it under the diecut window.
The die cuts the little window from the card, I have layered the flowers behind and then a piece of Lost Lagoon Shimmer card ( also retired ) brings the flowers to the fore. I have no shortage of sequins in matching tones to decorate them. Maybe you are the same.
There is no sentiment so that the cards are able to be used for any occasion.

The beautiful Fragrant Layers Bundle has both stampset - with such a cute font - and the amazing dies. I can't wait to play with it a bit more.

This folio box makes a cute set gift and holds 4 cards and envelopes. It suits the imperial size which is always the kit cards dimensions. It has a little bit of decoration on the inside as well.

The closed box, tied with ribbon.

We would love to see what you create using this colour palette - you can share your picture with us on the Facebook Group.

Check out the album to see what the rest of the design team has created using these colours. It's always wonderful to see what different products and styles everyone uses

As well as the chosen colour combination for #CI204, Lost Lagoon, Soft Sea Foam, Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic Beige, Basic Black and metallics to your project. We also allow ‘Ivory’, ‘Bronze’ and ‘Natural Tones’ in the Stampin’ Blends. If you don’t have the colours in our palette, feel free to use the closest Stampin’ Up! (or any other brand) substitute - Pool Party instead of Balmy Blue for example.

Challenge guidelines:
· Create a NEW project made specifically for this challenge.
· Use all of the challenge colours (or close substitutions) unless stated.
· Upload only ONE picture per entry straight to the discussion wall and NOT in an album.
CI#204 will run for almost TWO weeks and will end at 5 pm (AEDT) on Monday March 9.

I hope you have a creative week and remember,

"don't just post online,
 post something pretty!"
cheers, Liz

Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. Picture credit - https://leahhopephotography.client-gallery.com/.../print... I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...

CTC#86 Everyday is a good day to send a card

We invite you to tour around the hop and to join in -after all the Catalogue has so many beautiful samples to inspire us all. If you get lost you'll find the full crew here . You may have arrived from Simone , so welcome. And this week we are really excited to welcome 3 new designers to the team, Krissy, Deb and Kelly  please do leave them a comment and welcome. This week we are using the samples from the Everyday Occasions section (which is a huge section) from pages 66-91. Because this is such a big section we will revisit it in a few weeks.  I have chosen the card on page 71 because I have always been attracted to grids.  I have used the gorgeous new By the Shore Designer Series paper, it has such a lovely fres...

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are.
