CI#20 Gorgeous colours for a bouquet.

Welcome to Colour INKspiration for the 20th colour challenge! and what a gorgeous inspiration pic for this weeks colours
We were invited to a beautiful young couple's wedding this week, and the colours and picture just inspired me to make this wedding card. All the invitations and wedding stationery was adorned with lovely watercolour flowers so I wanted to use that theme in the card. Initially I was going to fussy cut pieces and incorporate them, but in the end I only added them to the inside, although I did cut their names and date from the 'save the Date' card and added them to the front.
The front bouquet was made using the babywipe technique with just a few drops of Coral and Cherry inks. I was really surprised and pleased with how lovely they look together.
The blossoms are from the Beautiful bouquet bunch set.

I cut 2 sets of stems - one from Artichoke and one from shimmery White card which I then watercoloured with Artichoke ink. I like the depth and difference it gives with double layers.

The other easy way to get depth and dimension is using the Embossing Folders. I LOVE the dynamic wood planks and have used it on both the Whisper White card base and on the Timber DSP - it looks AMAZING in real life, and just takes the paper to a whole new level.

As I said I did use part of their original invitation on the inside- here's a little peak

And here's the beautiful couple with the watercolour painting by a local artist which we gave them.

Next on the hop this fortnight is Lou, I wonder what amazingness she'll have for us today?

Don;t forget to share a picture of the projects you are inspired to make using these colours on our Facebook page.

Have a creative week!

Thanks for looking, and remember

CTC#86 Everyday is a good day to send a card

Welcome to the CASEing the Catty Sunday night blogshop where we use a section of the Catalogue to inspire this weeks projects. New In colour 2025-2027 cards and the FABULOUS Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape.

Don't you love it when a single product creates enough elements to decorate a bunch of cards at one time? The Extraordinary Flora Washi tape is one of those products. I created these for my upcoming Catalogue Launch. I put the Washi onto Basic Beige to cut these flowers and love how it coordinates with the Basic Beige card base. To create these cards I trimmed 2.5cm from the front edge and adhered a 3.5cm strip of DSP to the inside of the card to give an added layer. These were easy to put together. Darling Duckling Secret Sea Strawberry Slush Timid Tiger Cloud Clover June 3 - 30 Stampin Up has an amazing offer where you can get 50% off any second product from a suite. So for example if you were to purchase the Extraordinary Flora Die you would be able to buy the tape at 50% off. Please reach out if you want more information on this great deal. You can see all the available suites in my online store. I am loving all the new colours.  I hope you have a creative week and remember,...

Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. Picture credit - https://leahhopephotography.client-gallery.com/.../print... I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...
