Happy Birthday Piece of Cake for a colour challenge at SIP#181!

I love the Piece of Cake stamp set and had to purchase the bundle after seeing the fab creations of Lou Kitzelman ( A Bow on Top) at Onstage in Brisbane in November.
The set has been sitting on my desk waiting for some attention and my first play was lots of fun.
I liked the challenge over at Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge and thought I'd start there. My additional colour is Soft Sea Foam. - with a little bit of watercolouring, a little bit of stamping, some metallic thread and my favourite embellishments, the wee candles. The black and white striped paper is retired but there are lots of alternatives in the butterlfy DSP available free in Sale A Bration.
I love the splosh dots from the Beauty Abounds set, they are so useful.




I'm looking forward to playing with this set more.

New In colour 2025-2027 cards and the FABULOUS Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape.

Don't you love it when a single product creates enough elements to decorate a bunch of cards at one time? The Extraordinary Flora Washi tape is one of those products. I created these for my upcoming Catalogue Launch. I put the Washi onto Basic Beige to cut these flowers and love how it coordinates with the Basic Beige card base. To create these cards I trimmed 2.5cm from the front edge and adhered a 3.5cm strip of DSP to the inside of the card to give an added layer. These were easy to put together. Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...
