Little Christmas Boxes in a Fresh Christmas Colour theme for CTC#54


Well I was too late - actually too busy - to get my post ready for last week but I had made the little boxes for the markets so thought I would add them in to the mix anyway post production... There are some gorgeous projects in the CTC blogshop this week and I hope you have been able to get some inspiration.
I think Julia is right, they add a fresh take on classic Christmas colours.


 
I have done these little boxes as cards in the past for Easter, ( You can see them here) but they are so effective I thought I would do some for Christmas - and I had quite a few which sold at the Biloela Art and Craft Fair recently. They also look really effective hanging from a tree too.
TheTiny Treat Boxes are such good value at $12.25 for 25. You need to make a little bridge from Kraft card - the same way as you would if you were making a card-in-a box - and then just embellish away. You can do almost anything as long as you make sure it will still fit in the envelope when folded flat.

I have used the delightful Winter Wonderland Stamp set, Festival of Trees and its matching punch,  and a few retired dies- the perfect pennant die for the Mossy Meadow doily

CTC#48 Who doesn't love new DSP

Welcome back to CASEing the Catty for this round. You may have come from Rachel's beautiful project  or you maybe starting here. There are lots of great posts to visit. This week we are using new Designer Series paper from the Holiday Catalogue - and who doesn't love a pack of new paper? The problem of course is which one to choose.... followed by the problem of actually having to CUT into a pristine pack. ....I know you all know what I mean. I have lots of photos for you today to try and show off some of the designs, but it's not easy to capture and they always look so much better in real life. Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment.
