Gosh the weeks have flown, and we're back again. And what a fabulous colour combination we have for you this week.
Sometimes a big colour palette can be daunting so for this one I broke it down into the individual colours. I have CASEd several cards you will have seen in the catalogue using tone on tone stamping. It's a fabulous way to spotlight the individual colour. We'll be using the "Lovely You" stampset at classes this weekend so I was creating some samples showing its versatility.
It's a simple way to create an embellishment panel. I like the look with the ends uneven but you may prefer a square edge. You can also die cut any shape from your finished piece.
Check out this gorgeous image.
I've always loved working with strips of leftover card or DSP and you can see lots of samples under the label "using paper scraps" or "using up DSP" on this blog. like this one from 2014!
On this sample I added some sparkle by flicking the Wink Of Stella over the front, and to make the word stand out I just wrapped a thin band of vellum around the card. I searched around for some small bling in each of the feature colours too for a bit of fun.
So while I had the inks out I played with the stampset and created a large patterned piece of A4 which I then cut down into strips and used to embellish a set of cards. It's amazing what a difference it makes highlighting only one of the feature colours as an accent. I used sentiments from the Many Mates set for these cards.
