Father's Day meets the Mason Jar punch -The Masterchef version and a few Dad Jokes.

Yesterday I posted the mason jar woodworker's version, today is the BBQ chef version. I've used the fabulous Mason Jar Punch and coordinating Shaker Domes, and paired it with the Gilded Autumn specialty Designer Series Paper. Some (retired) copper washi tape to look like the screw top lid and a colourful mix of spices.

I think all Dads think themselves pretty handy in the chef department, so these should be broadly appropriate.

I filled the jars with Star Anise, Cardamom Pods, Coriander seeds and Chilli flakes.


The handy kebab image is from the recently retired Outdoor BBQ set. After I photographed this card I added the sentiment from Strong and Beautiful which says
"You're amazing
and that's a fact"

I made a few versions of this style using some retired paper ( making room for new things to come....) and another great retired set for Chefs -  Perfect Mix.

Our family are partial to word puns and word play jokes so these make me smile- plus they feel like Dad joke things to say! I love the new brushed metal foil as the accent too, feels like it should be in a kitchen.

I fell in love with this retired stampset when it was released and though I regularly add new ones and have parted with plenty of sets, this one (Perfect Mix) is firmly listed in the favourite MINE pile.



I think this fits the bill for Just Add Ink this week wiht their theme of Just Add Guys

As I've mentioned before (on this post using the jar punch) you can post these in Australia inside the clear Acetate boxes. They will cost you 2 standard stamps rather than one because they are classed as a large letter. I'm not sure about the woodworker's version however since the screws are quite heavy.

GDP #277 a gorgeous colour combination with Pretty Perennials

The Pretty Perennials Stampset is gorgeous to use on its own but the floral dies really do add a little something special. My card this week matches the colour challenge at the Global Design Project. I have stamped directly onto the Oh so Ombre DSP which is a free Sale A Bration item with a qualifying purchase for the rest of this month. I love the tone on tone stamping for added depth. I have gone over the Happy with Wink of Stella but it's not easy to photograph. The teeny heart is a teeny leftover of some retired Blushing Bride Glimmer paper and I have also incorporated other retired embellishments like the library clip and crystal button - I do love to use them up. CTC#48 Who doesn't love new DSP

Welcome back to CASEing the Catty for this round. You may have come from Rachel's beautiful project  or you maybe starting here. There are lots of great posts to visit. This week we are using new Designer Series paper from the Holiday Catalogue - and who doesn't love a pack of new paper? The problem of course is which one to choose.... followed by the problem of actually having to CUT into a pristine pack. ....I know you all know what I mean.
