GOING BACKWARDS TO GO FORWARDS, FINISH THIS POST.CI#187 Wecoming the NEW In Colours

As part of my post renovation TIDY UP, I am finally finishing some old blog posts and sharing them with you -  I am calling it my "Going Backwards to Go Forwards" process. I hope you get a little bit of motivation and inspiration from these recent samples which I created and then forgot! I am keen to share them with you so I can start afresh.

Way back in MAY 2025, the current batch of IN Colours was released. Colour INKspiration #187 was all about using the new colours. I created this set of cards using Basic Beige as my base and 4 of the colours
Strawberry Slush
Secret Sea
Cloud Cover
Timid Tiger
(I still can't get my head around Darling Duckling)!

These are all a similar layout and use the fabulous Textured Notes Stampset and Bright Borders Stampset ( which is sadly on the Last Chance list at a reduced price ) nnd the coordinating To the Point Punch.

It's nice to create a set that can be given as a gift. I don't believe that they all need to be the same, I like a little variety on a theme.

You can find all of these products in my Online Store

Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. Picture credit - https://leahhopephotography.client-gallery.com/.../print... I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz Product List Ornamental Envelopes Bundle [ 155168 ] $83.50 Envelopes  Dies [ 153531 ] $63.00 Shimmery White A4 Car...
