This time I stamped Ex Libris with Pool Party ink directly onto Very Vanilla. I stamped the image again in Not Quite Navy and cut out the label and the Mini Butterfly Punch . I used the blender pen to add a bit more colour and definition around the edges of both the labels and to colour the butterfly. The sentiment is another old favourite and is also stamped in Not Quite Navy. It is all layered up on dimensiionals and is on the Naturals Ivory Card base. I have also used a silver gel pen to add a few highlights to some of the swirls and details on the pattern but they don't show up in the photo. Thanks for looking, Liz
Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start. Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive. Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...
